Raising The Next Generation
When I became a mom for the first time in 2006, I was not prepared for the demand’s motherhood placed on me. It was physically exhausting and mentally draining.

Have you ever guessed someone’s feelings by the tone of their voice when they call your name? My kids know when they are in trouble the way I say their name. They know when I’m exasperated, angry or mildly annoyed by the tone of my voice.

At the beginning, we drove from place to place ministering God’s love and compassion, giving care packs with the gospel.

We all know the story about the Good Samaritan, who cared for the man beaten by thieves, fallen by the wayside and ignored by the priest and Levite.

Healing the sick, tormented, demon possessed, diseased people IS an integral part of Jesus’ ministry. When He gave His life for whosoever will believe in Him, He authorised us to do what He did. Believers will lay hands on the sick and the sick will recover.

The announcement of the birth of Jesus to the Shepherds happened at night. The skies lit up with the Lord’s glory.

October 19th, we joined NightShift Ministries (NSM) in Whalley to serve dinner to 110 street friends who mostly live on the streets. From Sound of the Lord Mission, we gave 110 bananas and 110 oranges.

Many years ago while I was living in Sri Lanka battling all the medical issues, in pain and discomfort, feeling angry sometimes and sorry for myself, constantly talking about how sick I was and how unfair life was, Pastor Allan Fraser, my pastor in Sri Lanka, called me one day.

We were on the streets of Whalley again today to share the love and compassion of Jesus with people who live on the streets.

On July 16th we gathered at the Steveston Community Park to celebrate and give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for 2 amazing years of ministry.

June 29th, we were out on the streets of Whalley again, giving Care Packs with fruit, water, a hot dinner sandwich, snacks and the Gospel of John / Daily bread to 25 people.

May 25th we served 25 dinner sandwiches together with water, pop, fruit and snacks on the streets of Whalley. We included the Gospel of John in the Care Packs as well.
