Outreach on August 30, 2025
On this beautiful Summer day, Magda and I prepared Care Packs, prayed and set out into the Whalley area to share the Good News of Salvation. Louis was the first person we prayed for, a Christian, but feeling worn out with the burdens of life and struggling with many issues.
Then we met Gary and Sonny. Two men sitting on the ground who at first did not seem interested in hearing about Jesus but as we stood there and chatted with them, they received Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. As Magda prayed for them, one of them started crying as the Lord ministered in only the way HE could minister to people through His Spirit. What a thrill for us to witness this miracle of salvation first hand. Hallelujah.
Luke 15:7
I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
August 28th I went to Victoria with Sheryl and her mom as we had decided to have a day out playing “tourist”. As we were walking away from the parliament building after doing a tour, a lady stopped and started talking with us. This was not a ‘random meeting’. We introduced ourselves and she said her name is Nalini. I felt a prompting from the Lord to give her the Daily Bread ‘Transforming Power of the Gospel’ booklet I had with me. She took it and said she is a Jain and believes in Jainism. Let’s please pray for Nalini, that she will read the good news and behold Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life. We talked with her for a few minutes about Jesus and went on our way.
Mark 4:14
The sower sows the Word.
If we don’t plant seed there is nothing to grow. What an amazing unexpected encounter! Always be ready to be a witness for the Lord.
Thank you for supporting the work of the ministry with prayer and donations. We appreciate all our newsletter community and pray these updates are a blessing to you.

Lord, Don’t You Care ….?
Luke 10:40 (NIV)
But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
Though we may not verbalize it, we have all, at some point, internally pondered this same question. “Lord, don’t You care….?”.
Lord, don’t You care I’m drowning in this mess?
Lord, don’t You care that someone else is taking credit for my hard work?
Don’t You care that the turmoil in this relationship is being blamed on me?
Don’t You care that my kids are walking in the ways of the world?
Don’t You care that the dr. gave me this diagnosis?
Don’t You care……?
Martha was worried and anxious. Will there be enough food for the guests? What if we run out of space in the room? Is the food too spicy? Too bland? Will Jesus be pleased with my efforts? Doesn’t He see that Mary is not helping? Doesn’t He care that I’m doing it alone?
Martha complained to Jesus about her sister, then proceeded to tell Him how He should solve the problem. She had it all figured out…or so she thought.
“Tell her to help me.”
Jesus saw a woman, worried and anxious over many things. He saw a daughter, who was doing her best to serve people. He saw a child of God, frustrated with others because they didn’t have the same vision as her. He saw a believer, who was tired, worn out with all her responsibilities and looking for instant solutions to her many problems.
Her focus was not her Savior. She wanted to serve Him, and not savor Him.
Jesus didn’t ask Mary to help her sister. Instead, He pointed out that Mary’s decision to sit and listen to Jesus, was a better choice. One wanted to serve Him, the other to savor Him.
Luke 10:41 – 42
“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
His response speaks a profound message to all of us.
If He granted Martha’s request, her immediate need would have been met. Mary would have helped her in the kitchen, there would be no shortage of food and the gathering would have been a success. But what about next time? There is always a next time. Martha would do the same thing, be “worried and upset about many things.”
It is because He cared for Martha so deeply, that He made that comparison between their choices. It was not meant to demean or shame her. He wanted her to experience the freedom that comes with knowing His Word, the power that comes with exercising authority in His name and the peace that comes with resting at His feet.
He wanted her to renew her mind with the Word and taste His goodness. His Word is life to them that choose to listen. Are you tired and overwhelmed emotionally, mentally and physically? Are you running on empty and in need of a season of rest? Are you unsure about the direction you are heading? Do you feel sometimes that God doesn’t care?
1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
You are His beloved. It is impossible for Him not to care and be indifferent to the cries of His children. He thinks about you. Your name is written in the palm of His hand. He watches over you to do you good and not harm. Can you hear Him call your name? What will be your choice today? To tick off more items on your to-do list or sit and listen to Him?
