Patricia Markham

Board Member (July 14, 2020 to July 14, 2021)

In 1966 my husband, Les, and I graduated from Western Pentecostal Bible College (Summit Pacific College) in 1966 and started pastoring our first church shortly after graduation. We have been life and ministry partners ever since (this year 55 years married with two children and 7 grandchildren).

From 1974-1982 we served in Thailand for eight years directing the Bible College. I also served with Christian Women’s Club and led a number of Bible Coffees in homes throughout the city of Bangkok. Opportunities surfaced to direct Sunday School, teach English as a second language using the Bible as a text book and we were involved in a feeding program in camps set up along the Mekong river for Cambodians running away from the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime.

From 1983- present, ministry included serving as President of the Alumni Association for Summit Pacific College, serving on the National Board for Women’s Ministries, organizing Women’s Ministries Conferences and local W.M. retreats. Organizing Vacation Bible Schools, Crusaders, Boys and Girls Club and a mentoring program I created and directed, Project Esther. Served in the district office as Director to Women’s Ministries as well as directed Alpha in the local church. Les and I currently serve as the National Prayer Coordinators for the P.A.O.C. Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.

The Lord paved the way for me to move to Canada at the
age of 25 for which I am eternally thankful. I felt my
hands gently pried away from everything familiar, as I
accepted the invitation to experience life depending
solely on Jesus. It was a journey that made me
experience the Word in a very tangible way. After several
years of challenging experiences through which the Lord
brought me through victoriously, Canada became home
to me.

Today, I balance life as a wife, homemaker and a mother
of 2 amazing children. I’m now ready to follow my
passion for writing. Stepping out in faith after all these
years, has been a challenge with many ‘what if’s ‘ and
‘maybe later’ thoughts.

I am excited to be serving on the Board of Sound of the
Lord Mission, to live out the vision that the Lord has
given us for the ministry
In my spare time I love to go for short walks in the
neighborhood, stay connected with friends, and look up recipes on pinterest.

Carol Ann Cheslock

Board Member

The Lord Jesus has brought Carol victoriously through many challenging situations through His grace and mercy, which has caused her to love and desire to serve Him and a passion to see people set free as she has been. This has led her to minister to countless numbers of people one on one and in ministry.

Carol, with her prayer ministry, and her husband, Andy, with his music ministry have been a blessing to many.

Carol has been a mentor to many people and played a key role in the inter-church prayer ministry in Richmond, praying for Richmond and the Churches.

Carol’s sense of humor will not allow anyone to remain depressed or down after a few minutes in her company. Scrabble is one of the many games that Carol enjoys and has played competitively against Rochelle amidst lots of laughter, banter and, of course, great food during their almost nineteen years of friendship and ministering together. It can only get stronger from this point – onwards and upwards.

Carol now looks forward to serving the Lord through the Sound of the Lord Mission to be a missionary to “whosoever will believe and receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ”.
