Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
It is with gratitude and thanks that 2021 is released into history today. It has truly been a year that was filled with the goodness and faithfulness of our Lord.
I would like to share with you some highlights to give praise and glory to Jesus our Saviour for what has been done through Sound of the Lord Mission since July 14, 2020 when the ministry was registered.
July 2020 – December 2021 Highlights
- Shared the Gospel of Good News with over 600 people during ministry in Granville Island, Whalley, Langley, Victoria and Richmond with care packs, lunches, coffee, juice, water, groceries, jackets, warm clothing and other necessities.
- Provided 36 men and 12 women at Wagner Hills Farm in Langley with care packs to encourage them as they go through rehab.
- 8 Christmas/Grocery hampers provided to immigrant families in Richmond.
- Our Christmas Shoe Box outreach was a huge success exceeding our goal of 100, to send 126 boxes overseas to children through the Samaritan’s Purse Ministry.
- Christmas Hamper to a family through Pregnancy Options.
- We assisted the men and women at Phonenix Society in Surrey who are going through rehab to encourage them with care packs and over 20,000 meters of wool for their knitting project.
- Celebrated our one year ministry anniversary on July 25th this year. (Our official registration was on July 14, 2020).
- Launched our website on December 20, 2021.
All this was possible because we worked and ministered as a team. I am personally thankful for the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ on this ministry which belongs to Him.
Thankful for our Ministry Partners, the Sound of the Lord Missions Board, Ministry and Operations Team, Website maintenance and Accounting Team, without whom, none of this would have been possible. You are loved and appreciated more than I can pen in words.
Thank you for praying, giving financially, sponsoring outreaches and donating items for distribution to people who live on the streets & going through rehab. Thank you for volunteering time, supporting and being connected to Sound of the Lord Mission. May your reward and blessings from the Lord be great.
In the first week of November this year, as I was praying extended hours of prayer in the spirit, I sensed that the Lord was asking us to set 2022 as the Year of Excellence. Daniel 6:3 was the Scripture that came to mind. This is not to say that we should not live and do things in excellence every year but in 2022 we are to be intentional & consistent to live and do whatever we do with a spirit of excellence.
Did you miss accomplishing something you wanted to do in 2021? Plan for 2022. Be consistent. According to Dr. Caroline Leaf, who is a Christian Neuro Scientist, it takes 21 days of repetition to form a habit. SET your mind on what the Lord has asked you to do and do it! You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!
The spirit of excellence is already in each of us because we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. It is time to act in that spirit of excellence!
