February Outreach in Surrey, BC Canada
Matthew 9:35 – 38
35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
The outreach on Wednesday, February 22nd was powerful and different from the other outreaches we have done so far.
At the beginning, we drove from place to place ministering God’s love and compassion, giving care packs with the gospel. Halfway through I sensed the Lord saying “today Cris and you are like Philip the evangelist”. So I mentioned it to Cris and from there on, the Lord led us from place to place around Whalley to minister one on one to people.
The Holy Spirit was prompting Cris where to drive and this is what happened:
We saw a young man looking through a garbage bin. We stopped and I got out and called to him. His name is Devon. I gave him a care pack and mentioned that there is a Gospel of John in it and I asked whether he would like to read it. He said yes he would. Then I asked if he would like me to pray for him. He said he has dyslexia. I spoke/prayed healing over him. When I got back to the car Cris was weeping. The Spirit of God was moving so strongly. Cris did not hear what I prayed over Devon but the same Holy Spirit in her was weeping for Devon. We believe he got healed.
Next we went near the old Safeway grocery store in Whalley. Prayed for a lady in a wheel chair. Her name is Karina. She told me “I was surprised you got down from the car to talk with me”. People are longing for fellowship, someone to talk with. They are not asking for much, just a smile, a “hello how are you”, someone to listen to them. We gave her a care pack and prayed for healing in her legs.
Next we met Spencer. A man who was bent over. We gave him a care pack and we prayed for his healing.
After that we sat in the car near Gateway Skytrain station for a little while and prayed for people walking by. The car felt tangibly full with the Lord’s presence.
Then there was a young girl seated on the ground near the Surrey Central Skytrain station. She was spaced out. We gave her a care pack and a sweater. There were many people covered in heaps of blankets trying to stay warm. February 22nd was an extremely cold day.
We had 2 more care packs left. We met Taylor, a young girl who was with another person and we gave her the 2 care packs for which she was profusely thankful.
I don’t have words to describe adequately what happened on February 22nd.
Since we started doing street ministry in Whalley from August 2020, throughout 2021 and 2022 we were on the streets giving care packs and ministering but February 22nd was very different. All I can say is I felt filled with God’s joy, excitement, compassion, love and mercy all at the same time and Cris felt the same.
We were both praying in the Spirit, praying in English in-between ministering to people and we could not stop until we sensed that the missionary work for the day, was done!
Glory to God in the highest. All praise, thanks and worship unto Jesus Hallelujah!
The harvest is plenty! The Word was sown, may there be a harvest of souls for Jesus, for the Kingdom of God.
We thank God for His goodness and mercy and we thank God for you all for praying for and with us, and supporting the ministry in so many ways. May your reward from the Lord be abundant.
With love and joy,

Forgetting to Remember
Isaiah 43:18-19
18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
In this scripture the Lord urges us not to look back, forget our past failures, to look forward and live in His promises.
But we should not forget to remember the miracles and answers to prayer in our past, those inexplicable breakthroughs you know without a shadow of a doubt, that it was the hand of the Lord.
When He warned them about the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees, the disciples thought Jesus was referring to bread, and the Lord chides them for not remembering.
Matthew 16:7- 10
7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.
8 Which when Jesus perceived, He said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
They forgot that He had just fed 5000 and 4000 people in two separate miracles.
They forgot to remember.
It makes me wonder sometimes, are we still addressing the issues in our lives today just like the disciples did in Jesus’ day, using the most obvious solutions within our means?
Jesus had the most unusual, extraordinary and unorthodox ways and means to deal with catastrophic, traumatic and impossible situations that presented itself to Him, and He wants us, led by the Spirit, to do the same.
Do we have the audacity to do life the way Jesus did and even greater things? Are we willing to lay our reputation on the line, to be the object of ridicule and raised eyebrows? Many are the events recorded in the Word, that was surrounded by mockery and laughter, which changed to amazement after the miracle.
Our minds naturally gravitate towards methods of self-sufficiency, thereby leaving no room for the supernatural, preferring quick solutions with rational thinking. When we forget to remember the miracles He has done in our life, we train our minds to dwell only on the negatives and try to solve life’s issues in our own strength.
Reminding ourselves of what He has already done in our lives keep the fire of our faith alive today, while setting the stage for future supernatural signs and wonders.
The signs and wonders that followed Jesus’ ministry was witnessed by His disciples, that retrained their mind to think beyond the natural.
What have you witnessed in your life that is supernatural? Don’t forget to remember them. The God who did those things in the past, is well able to do whatever you ask in His name today.
