Outreach to Wagner Hills - Langley, BC
Saturday, September 11th we did an outreach to 12 women who are going through rehab at the Wagner Hills Women’s Campus in Langley.
Jesus fulfilled the prophecy in Isaiah 61 when He said in Luke 4 that He came to set the captives free, to heal the brokenhearted, to set people at liberty. This promise is available for anyone who is addicted to anything that is harmful. Jesus, God of mercy, love, and compassion died for each one of us to set us free!
We met 3 of the women who are going through rehab at the Wagner Hills farm. Beautiful women who have taken a step of commitment to leave their past behind and have moved into a season of restoration. Please join us in praying for them.
We gifted a bag full of essential items and treats to cheer them on in their journey of recovery. I am thankful for everyone who donated towards this outreach. Thank you for praying and volunteering time to go to the farm.
To our Newsletter readers, you will notice that the team that goes out on the streets and outreaches are mostly the same missionaries, “boots on the ground”.
We also have a team of people praying, volunteering in other areas of the ministry with work that needs to get done such as administration, accounting, planning, organising, setting up the website (we will go live soon) and serving on the Board. May the Lord add to our team!
We give all glory honour and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ as we continue the work entrusted to us. Hallelujah!

A Time To Be Silent
We are constantly encouraged to communicate, fellowship, and be social, but did you know there are times God wants you to be silent?
Luke 10: 2-4
2 Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. 3 Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves. 4 Carry neither money bag, knapsack, nor sandals; and greet no one along the road.
As I read this scripture it intrigued me why Jesus asked the disciples not to greet anyone.
Because He knows our tendency to deviate, digress and lose focus.
He had given them a command. The mission was to heal the sick, to preach the gospel, and to be laborers, bringing in the harvest. The Lord placed such value on this mission that He asked them not even to acknowledge people on the road.
Let’s look at another scripture. In this case, Elisha instructs Gehazi, not to reply, even if someone else greets him on the way.
2 Kings 4:29
Elisha said to Gehazi, “Tuck your cloak into your belt, take my staff in your hand and run. Don’t greet anyone you meet, and if anyone greets you, do not answer. Lay my staff on the boy’s face.”
Personally, this is an area I struggle in. Saying ‘No’ to the urgent demands of day to day life and saying ‘Yes’ to things that are important in God’s eyes.
Be intentional in completing our Spirit-directed missions first. There are times we must walk with blinders, purposefully, single mindedly with determination and there is no looking back or stopping until your mission is accomplished….on time.
So let’s take a look at our lives and see where our time is being consumed. Are we distracted by shiny objects on our path? The most dangerous place to settle is being busy doing things for His kingdom, thinking we are in His perfect will while not paying attention to that still small voice that’s saying “not that, but this”.
Lord give us divine wisdom to know the difference between the important and the urgent and the courage to turn away from seemingly endless tasks that appear urgent.
