Street Ministry in Surrey
Many of us take so much for granted, at least 2 – 3 meals a day, a home to live in, a bed to sleep on, clean water to drink, and other basic amenities.
There is a community of people who have no homes, no employment and no hope. The Lord has commissioned every Believer to share the hope we have in Jesus and share the Gospel of Good News. We cannot help everyone we would like to but we can help some of them so that they know that there are people who care. We see them, we listen to them, and now some of them recognise us as we have been out on the streets almost every month.
Proverbs 19:17
He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord,
And He will pay back what he has given.
November 16th, we went on a street ministry outreach in Whalley, Surrey to serve 30 hot lunches and coffee. There were so many people outside it was overwhelming to see. Seated on the sidewalk huddled to try to stay warm from the cold weather.
A friend donated a beautiful, almost new winter jacket which we were able to give to a woman on the streets. She was surprised and grateful and decided to try it on. It was a perfect fit, hallelujah! Her name is Jenny. She wanted to pose, twirl and did a small dance in it :)! I asked her if I can take a picture. She wanted me to comment on the mask she was wearing.!! Most people living on the streets want someone to have a conversation with them, to listen to their story, how did they end up on the streets and what they would like to do, their dreams.
Below are 2 pictures of our outreach. We are very grateful to everyone who is supporting the ministry in so many ways. Thank you for sending us to the streets and to other areas to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to whosoever will believe and receive Him!

Richmond Ministry Update
In July of 2020, when Sound of the Lord Mission stepped out in faith, to minister in the streets of Surrey, we assumed that we would do the same in the city of Richmond.
However, after months of earnest prayer by our team, the Lord directed us to share the Gospel with very low income immigrant families and assist them with groceries and other basic necessities. It was different from what we had envisioned and we were excited to be obedient to what God was asking us to do.
On November 15th we reached out to 2 immigrant families with food hampers. They had been trusting the Lord to provide for their basic needs.
Psalm 82:3
Defend the poor and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and needy.
One hamper was given to a single mom and her 3 year old daughter. The second, was gifted to a husband and wife with 2 children aged 6 and 3. Both hampers included gift cards to grocery stores, toys for the children, rice, sugar, hygiene items, jam, juice, bread, milk, eggs, cheese, butter, vegetables, baked goods donated by a friend who works at a bakery, and much more.
The two families were very grateful for this answer to their prayer.
None of this would have been possible without your participation. We invite you to share in the joy of serving the Lord with us and ministering to those who need hope and the message of Good news. Some of you are instrumental in sending others to the mission field and for that, we are very thankful.
Below are pictures of the hampers that were gifted.

- Righteous leaders in every country so that people can live in peace and freedom.
- Sound of the Lord Mission and every ministry that is sharing the Gospel. For a harvest of souls.
